Every detail of the electronic circuitry is a faithful recreation, strictly following the original schematics and component selection. Despite the complexity and higher costs of working with traditional through-hole technology, we chose this path to guarantee the authentic sound and raw character of the original instrument. Furthermore, this artisanal approach ensures that the synthesizer remains fully serviceable, allowing it to be maintained and cherished for decades to come.
The character of the 2600 is truly unique; the sum of its parts—both its strengths and its quirks—is what defines the instrument’s soul. We have no desire to “improve” or “update” its inherent nature. Our philosophy is rooted in a deep respect for the original sound and character; that is our definitive path.

Pure Heritage. 100% Analog
We prioritize through-hole components and traditional soldering techniques, utilizing “human-scale” parts that honor the heritage of classic electronics. Every integrated circuit (IC) is mounted on high-grade turned sockets for maximum reliability. Aside from the dedicated MIDI board, our designs are strictly SMD-free, ensuring that the instrument remains fully repairable and serviceable for decades, just like the legendary designs of the past.
While this construction method is more labor-intensive and costly than modern industrial standards, we believe the superior sound and organic behavior make it indispensable. For us, this craftsmanship is the very soul of the instrument—a deliberate departure from the world of mass-produced consumer electronics.

Our cabinet meticulously follows the original’s heritage, retaining its iconic silhouette and utilizing authentic Tolex and vintage-style hardware for both the main housing and the front cover. We remained faithful to this artisanal construction—despite the significant labor and costs involved—because we believe the enclosure is essential to the instrument’s unique spirit.

Modern Refinements & Ergonomics
While staying true to the original’s soul, we introduced strategic enhancements to adapt the Antonus 2600 to the modern musician’s workflow.
Portability & Scale The form factor has been optimized to approximately 80% of the original size. This compact footprint is a game-changer for space-conscious studios and makes the instrument truly portable. Unlike the original, which was difficult to transport, the Antonus 2600 fits comfortably in a travel suitcase, allowing you to carry your sound on planes, trains, and between sessions with ease.
Durability & Aesthetics The front panel features a sophisticated textured black finish with high-contrast white silkscreening. Both the texture and the print have undergone a specialized hardening treatment, making the interface exceptionally resistant to scratches and wear. Since 2021, we also offer the Classic Orange panel option, allowing you to choose your preferred color scheme at the moment of order.
Precision Interface We have reimagined the sliders for a modern, tactile experience:
Visual Feedback: Integrated LED-lit sliders provide an intuitive, high-visibility experience in any lighting condition.
Premium Touch: Our 2021 update introduced new translucent slider knobs, offering an improved grip while beautifully diffusing the internal illumination.

The “Long” Spring Reverb To capture the most lush and immersive atmosphere, we chose the Long Spring Reverb tank—the same sought-after version found in the earliest 2600 units. This provides a deeper, more complex reverberation than the shorter tanks used in later “Grey Face” models.

We have redesigned the GATE input to be compatible with most current standards—a significant improvement over the more restrictive design of the original vintage units. This ensures effortless synchronization with today’s analog instruments and modular systems.
The Advanced Duophonic Interface Since 2021, the Antonus 2600 has featured an enhanced duophonic interface with a powerful feature set:
Dual Performance Modes: Switch between Monophonic and Duophonic operation.
Expanded Connectivity: Upgraded to 2 Auxiliary CV outputs and 2 GATE outputs.
Integrated Auxiliary LFO: A dedicated LFO routable to any CV output (Pitch or AUX), featuring four waveforms and a wide frequency range.
Performance Tools: Built-in Pitch Portamento, Interval Latch, and HOLD functions.
Full MIDI Integration: All parameters respond to MIDI CC and are fully user-programmable.
Unprecedented Control Like its predecessor, the interface recognizes MIDI Note and Pitch-bend data. However, we have added an additional CV input to control the internal tuning bus of the VCOs and VCF. This input is mixed with the MIDI-CV signals, allowing for sophisticated creative techniques such as real-time transposition, layering different scales, or complex modulation blending.
