Antonus Keyboard: Development & Progress Update

If you are a Patron Keyboard participant, this update is for you! We want to share the latest news regarding the development of the Antonus keyboard.

First and foremost, we want to sincerely thank you for being part of this journey since day one. Your support has been fundamental; without this community, a project of this scale would not have been possible.

Beyond a Replica

As you know, this project goes far beyond a simple clone. While we are inspired by the original ARP 3620 concept, our design integrates modern technology and a wide range of features that the original model never had.

This high level of innovation has required additional development phases for several key reasons:

• Technical Precision: Implementing complex functions that require constant testing and high-fidelity adjustments.
• Creative Evolution: During the process, we adapted or replaced initial ideas with new, exciting features that significantly elevate the instrument’s quality.
• Rigorous Quality Control: We are dedicating extensive time to  debugging. Although the firmware will be user-updatable, our commitment is to deliver a device that performs perfectly from the first release

Production Strategy & New Timeline

To optimize timing and avoid bottlenecks, we have decided to advance the manufacturing of the cases. This ensures that as soon as the final PCBs and panels are ready, we can proceed with serial assembly without interruptions.

Due to these refinements, the scheduled delivery date for the first units is now set for February. This represents a delay of approximately two months from our initial estimate.

Our Commitment

We sincerely apologize for this delay. We are eager for you to experience the Antonus keyboard, but as tireless perfectionists, our priority is that every customer receives the instrument at its absolute best.
