"A semi-modular synthesizer based on the legendary ARP 2600"

A meticulous 1:1 scale replica

Classic circuitry with expanded new connectivity

At Antonus, we use the original circuit with classic through-hole components and meticulously matched parts, ensuring the authentic sound and soul of the original units.  Maintaining the original design path is one of our big commitements that is why we returned to the original submodule building technique.

Our circuits are faithful replicas, we have achieved full retro-compatibility between the Antonus 2600 OS and the vintage ARP 2600. That is why you can house original submodules inside an Antonus unit, or use our submodules to restore a vintage classic.

Analog Philosophy

These classic technologies and artisan techniques require significantly more effort compared to modern mass-production methods.

We distance ourselves from industrial manufacturing for our instruments; we believe this work deserves a unique level of dedication and love.

The 21st Century 2600

We integrated two key features to ensure seamless compatibility with modern studios and setups: CV/GATE,  MIDI Duophonic Interface

 MIDI Duophonic Interface

This interface enhanced the features of the 2600 with a MIDI Thru port and a dedicated MIDI Learn button for effortless channel configuration.

To preserve the instrument’s vintage integrity, the interface contained a small, isolated daughterboard.

Note that, It represents the only digital component and SMT board in the entire unit—a necessary choice due to the specialized nature of high-precision Digital-to-Analog conversion.

Also we added a Balanced Output Interface, located on the right side of the instrument, it features dual XLR/Jack connectors for direct, noise-free connection to professional mixers and audio interfaces using balanced lines.

Offering these modern outputs, we preserved the traditional front-panel 3.5mm mini-jack outputs found on the original ARP 2600.

This design provides total flexibility for your studio routing, allowing you to connect the main outputs via:

  • 3.5mm Mini-Jack: (Unbalanced) Traditional front-panel connection.
  • 6.3mm (1/4″) Jack: (Balanced) Professional line output.
  • XLR Connectors: (Balanced) Standard for studio and stage reliability.

Style
